Andrew - we're not covering anything. Until 0.8 Weceem has zero caching of any kind, not even hibernate level 2 caching. Caching of the database data is very important with apps that hit the database so much. Weceem invalidates the corresponding cache entries when content is edited.

It also provides the cache tag because this is a real end-user requirement for caching remote content, or to deal with expensive queries related to hierarchical traversals (eg nested menus).

There are no "fat" caches.

Do you realize in this article the word cache is used 15 times? Don't cover your performance problems with fat caches.

Hallo Marc,

I guess I definitely need a CMS solution for an existing grails (1.2) based app as major content changes (in three languages) are coming up (SEO/SEM project). I would point you to the site here if I could ;) #competition.

I hope I'll find the time to try it out next week. I have a little experience with Alfresco and other "legacy" CMSs. Regarding the project in mind - weceem definitely is the first (and hopefully last as well) system I'll try as its grails based.

Thanks so far
