It was an absolute privelege to train as a midwife under the mentorship and friendship of Tricia - she was and always will be a midwife I will aspire to but I know I will never be able to emulate. Tricia's memory is what has given me the confidence to make the decision to step out of the NHS and move into independent practice - thank you Tricia you are still inspiring me!! xxx

I was very fortunate to do my training with Tricia. It wasnt easy because we were the first year of the current Direct Entry students, back in 1989 we were the 'guinea pigs' in Bournemouth & Poole - the following year the course went out to the UK. There was never any doubting her commitment and having met up with so many Midwives since who she has supported, encouraged or inspired - I am very grateful to have known her. I was aware of her illness but still deeply saddened by her loss - there are not many genuinely beautiful souls in the World but she was one.

I feel very blessed to have met Tricia as a student midwife - she is the midwife I will always aspire to be.

So sad I never got the chance to say goodbye.
