I also have a new macbook, I tried to watch Torchwood on the bbc iplayer and it has a very bad viewing angle, especially on dark scenes, I had to keep tilting it, I hope this is not the end of the apple quality. I also have a 8 year old g4 titanium power book and the screen is still amazing, you can also view from any angle.

Maybe Apple are cutting costs finally. come on apple Bad screen! it's only the MAIN THING OU LOOK AT...ALL THE TIME!

Doh!

I checked out the MacBook screen at an Apple store today and I think they are low quality. The viewing angle is poor and the display seems over saturated even when altered in System Prefs. The screens on budget laptops are vastly superior. I was going to sell my iMac for a MacBook, but they seem overpriced and, as you can tell, I'm not impressed with the screen. I've noticed a Dell 1520 which for £650 is a much higher spec and with a quality screen. I don't want to go back to Windows much, but I don't want to get ripped off either!

Hi!
Oow it seems that your MacBook has some problems :/
I'm an owner of a old iBook G4 1ghz and my room mate has a brand new MacBook. His screen doesnt seem to suffer from the motion blur you describe and his isight seems to be centered. You really should return it asap...

By the way, many of my friends have some problems with their macbook's screen; it begins to "flash" after about 6 months of use (they are all computer's hardcore user) :-/

Good luck!
